It’s Christmas Craft Fair Time in Etobicoke

Yes, it started to snow really hard this morning as I set off to visit a couple of craft fairs. Fortunately, it was more flurries than a real snowstorm! It all passed and the sun returned a few minutes later, melting any snow that stayed on the ground. But wow, what perfect timing to get everyone into the holiday mood! With the US Thanksgiving happening next week, Black Friday will officially kick-off the Christmas frenzy.

My first stop was the Craft Show happening at the Etobicoke School for the Arts on Royal York. It was great to see a table of art from some of the current students, but most of the show was from local artisans who have taken a table to showcase their work and hopefully make some sales to the public. These sales are a great opportunity to purchase some genuine and unique handmade items for yourself, or that special someone.

After making the rounds at the ESA show, I headed over to Neilson Park Art Creative Centre for a similar show with more artists. Here’s a look at sampling of the work I saw today.
